Alex Detz Hit 3-4, 4 RBIs, and Scored 2 Runs in Mississippi State's 16-2 Win Over Alcorn State
One sad note about this game was that it ended an era. This was the first ever game since early last season that the players of Mississippi State were beardless. Trevor Fitts noted on "Dawg Talk with John Cohen" that Coach Cohen told his team to shave as a result of the series loss to Ole Miss. Maybe this will spark some sort of run in the team moving forward.
Mississippi State starts a three game weekend series against Missouri in Columbia, Missouri on Friday at 6:00 PM on HailState TV.
